Before

Often times a room will easily become a catch-all place for tons of clutter just as this room was.

After

Under all this stuff was a lovely pool table. We purchased a new set of pool cues and balls, hung some artwork and set up a games table in the window. It definitely has the 'wow' factor - a wonderful space to hang out in. Can't you imagine having a party here??

Before

This guest bedroom needed toning down and color coordinating.

After

There was a once used bedspread in the closet that was perfect for this room and an oil painting found elsewhere in the house was the ideal match. The walls were painted eggplant, a lovely green plant brought in for the corner, a new ivory colored cloth for the bedside table and a few toss cushions to complete the look. It is now a delightful and welcoming room for any guest to use.

A cluttered space that blocks the front door entryway.

This display of the family's safari paraphanalia stands out for all to see and makes the front door much more accessible and appealing.

Redesign

Before

The unmatched wood finishes are confusing and unappealing

After

Adding a mirror and shelving that matches the hutch brings balance to this space

Before

The layout wasn't conducive to conversation and lacked a focal point. The bright pink walls and blue carpeting was too bold.

After

By rearranging the furniture there is now a comfortable conversation area. The gorgeous new wallpaper on accent walls and a soft taupe paint add glamour. The new neutral carpet adds sophistication.

Before

This piano was too large for the entrance hall.

After

This painted antique cabinet and a cherished family heirloom chair make the front entrance much more attractive and adds function as well.

Before

The fireplace was lost behind furniture. It lacked interest.

After

By adding a wooden mantle and positioning ornaments differently, this fireplace is a beautiful focal point in the living room.

Before

The painted laminate countertop was chipping and the sinks and faucets were in bad shape.

After

Painting the cabinetry and replacing the counters with beautiful travertine turned this once very boring and dated bathroom into a spa-like retreat.

Dated accessories and lack of window treatment

Pretty window draperies and new lighting, tables and wall accessories make a huge improvement to this space.

Colors not working well - insignificant focal point

After

Wood stove beautifully displayed becomes the focal point in this room. Much more cohesive color scheme.

Before

The aquarium was awkward to see and the blue walls didn't enhance the warm earthy colors of the furniture. The windows needed embellishing.

After

Adding some new furniture pieces like tables and occasional chairs makes this room much more conversation friendly. The new wall color, area rug and draperies warm the space.

Before

The desk was far too large and taking away from the fireplace which the client wanted to dress up some.

After

By adding a wood mantle to the fireplace and replacing the desk with a beautiful aquarium, the focal point is now much more prominent and appealing.

After

The aquarium is placed in a much better location to be enjoyed not only in the living room but also from the hall and kitchen.

Before

The piano placed in this corner was causing the whole room to be off-centered.

After

We replaced the piano with a small chest and thus were able to position the furniture better.
