As long as I can remember I have enjoyed decorating and designing. I read everything written on the subject and thoroughly enjoy the programming these days on television that promotes renovations at any level. I find it stimulating and fascinating and I love to use decorating to relieve my need to be creative.

I had been in the dental profession for quite a few years when my husband and I decided to build our dream home. For 2 years I found myself pouring over the rough drafts of my self designed house, tweaking and modifying every little nook and cranny. Finally the time came to actually build this long-awaited house. I was fortunate to be able to quit my job in dentistry and pursue a brand new career in general contracting. It was a simply wonderful and exciting time, dealing with the sub-contractors and making so many decisions every day. I learned an incredible amount about the whole construction business and found every aspect of it so rewarding. When the summer ended and all my own personal work was finished, I felt the need to try a new career of some sort. I longed for it to be somewhat challenging and something that would allow me to be creative and to meet interesting people. On many occasions I had helped friends and family decorate and redo their spaces with very positive results. Those very people encouraged me to pursue a career in home design and decorating. Home staging and redesign was the perfect choice for me. It allows me to meet so many fascinating people. Some to help at a crucial time in their life when they are about to sell their home. Others who desire help with their current accommodations. Either way, it’s so exciting and rewarding for me.

To prepare for this new line of work, I took several courses. I received an Award Of Merit from the Quality of Course School. This achievement is given to the students with highest grades and a thorough understanding of home staging and redesign concepts. This grants me ISRP – International Staging and Redesign Professional. I also graduated from the Staging Diva course, which included a color consultation segment.

I am excited about how home staging is so incredibly beneficial to everyone involved. The seller sells faster and for more, the realtor unloads the property quicker, the buyer sees exactly what they’re about to buy and has found their perfect property, and me, well I am thrilled to have another happy customer and more wonderful before and after shots for my portfolio. It’s absolutely a win, win, win, win situation!!
